How do I change how my labour is displayed on an invoice?

 

In webSAM we have four different display options for how labour is displayed on an invoice. You can change these settings at any time by going into Setup > System configuration > Forms setup > Print labour. 

You can change the setting at any time and reprint an old invoice to see how each option looks. 

The four options are: 

 

Yes - Detailed:

  • Every labour line is posted on invoice with the Qty and Charge

Yes - Summarised by Labour Category:

  • Prints all labour but combines and summaries labour with the same labour category

No:

  • No labour lines are displayed on the invoice. Instead, it is summarised at the bottom of the invoice as Labour.

This is the most popular and recommended option, it reduces arguments with customers over labour hours 

Hours Only:

  • Displays the same as No except that it also has a summary of the hours next to the technician fee
