Set Up Estimates
Before using the Estimate system, you should complete the following set-up:
Setup > System Configuration > Forms Setup
- Default Estimate - You can choose from several pre-formatted Estimate layouts, you can use the Preview button to see an example of each format.
- Estimate Note - The information typed into this field will be shown on the bottom of the PDF version of the Estimate. E.g.:
- Display Terms of Trade (tickbox) - Ticking this box will enforce your customers to confirm they have read your terms before accepting the estimate in the customer approval portal. Your customer is provided with a link to view your terms beside the confirmation tickbox.
- Estimate Terms (button) - Clicking this button will open a window where you can define your terms (terms of business, terms and conditions related to quotes estimates etc). These will be the terms a customer must accept if you have ticked the previous setup tickbox to display the terms of trade. Per the example below, you can even include a hyperlink to a webpage or pdf document stored on your website that details your full terms of business:

Setup > Contact Templates
Two new Contact Templates have been added for Estimates sent by SMS or Email. You can edit these contact templates to change the specific wording of the messages sent to your customers when sending Estimates.
Please Note: these templates include system "Bookmarks" to display specific data that changes dynamically depending on the current transaction, for example, there is a template for estimate number, or estimate total, so these values can be populated based on the current estimate. If you wish to make use of these bookmarks but are uncertain how they work, please raise a support ticket with us.
