User Set Up - What does the "technician" selection do?
Users can be linked to Technicians within the User Setup screen in the system's Setup menu.
Depending on the user's Role, this link will...
- Default the Work in Progress display Filter to Own Jobs. So the technician is always working on their own list of work allocated to them within the job maintenance.
Note: The user can manually change this filter to view All jobs as required.
- Add a Timeclock option to the top of the job, so the technician can clock on/off the job directly:
- Make the Time Clocking screen only display their own name. This is especially useful if they're going to be using their mobile phone to clock on/off work
