How to control security and user access using User Roles in webSAM...

In webSAM, we've simplified the approach to controlling the level of access your staff have to the webSAM system by categorising sets of access/restriction into 'User Roles'. When you create a new user in webSAM, you assign a User Role to the user, and their access is restricted accordingly.

Currently, webSAM has five security roles that determine what a user can or can't access within the system:

RoleAccess Level
Time Clock OnlyAs the name suggests this role is for users (mainly technicians) who are only allowed to clock on/off jobs for labour tracking and reporting
TechnicianHas limited access to jobs, can view, clock and add parts
Senior TechnicianHas more access to jobs, can add and edit all postings but cannot invoice a job.
Supervisor & Workshop AdminA senior-level employee with access to all areas of the system except the System Setup
AdministratorFull access to the system, including setup and configuration settings.
