There are a few different places you can export data from webSAM.

Reports

Every report has the option to export the data to Excel. This is useful to manipulate the report data by adding in your own calculations or joining the data to other spreadsheets for more comprehensive reporting needs

Utilities

In the Utilities menu there is an Exports option <Setup> <Utilities> <Export>. This option allows for the exporting of Customers, Suppliers, Stock and Vehicles:

The exports can be used in conjunction with the importing data template.

For example, if you are new to SAM and have connected to an existing Xero account you may have downloaded the Xero customers and suppliers into SAM. Your next step is to upload Vehicle and Parts data from other sources into SAM.

To achieve this, in webSAM, go to Setup > Utilities > Export and export the Customers and Suppliers.

These exports will contain the important SYSID or main contact identifier:

Use the relevant SYSID in the ‘vehicle’ Owner and ‘Stock’ Supplier columns within the webSAMDataConversion spreadsheet to link to the correct contact
